SOCIAL MEDIA MADE EASY BY SMCCV
Logan- Members of the Social Media Club of Cache Valley are offering expertise information on how to be savvy in social media networking. The non-profit organization meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. and the meetings are open to anybody.
“We have members ranging from novice business owners to the experienced experts,” said Preston Parker, president. “We want to everyone to learn.”
The Cache Valley chapter of SMCCV was organized in August of 2009 and membership continues to increase in membership at a steady rate. As many as 80 people have been in attendance at the chapter’s monthly meetings.
Parker said the non-profit organization’s intention is to educate as many people as possible about the benefits of social networking and provide a hands-on opportunity. People are encouraged to bring a laptop to enhance the experience at the meetings.
Regular meetings are held at Borders Books on Main Street in Logan and include panel discussions by experts and group leaders. October’s panel will be discussing cell phone etiquette . Every third month’s meetings are held at Café Sabor and include “tweet-ups” and door prizes.
